Maldives ministers were suspended after undesirable remarks about the Indian Prime Minister and the Maldives Government stated, “These opinions are personal and do not represent the views of the Government of Maldives”. Its huge effect was seen in India as more than 10000 hotel bookings and more than 5000 flight tickets were canceled by people traveling to Maldives. Even people suffered losses in canceling but stood together to contribute to India. Maldives gets more than 5000 crore business from India from Tourism, but things seem to be changing now. The current President fought the election with a hateful agenda of “INDIA OUT” from Maldives. After derogatory remarks by Mariyam, Malsha, and Hassan local government sidelines them of pressure. Every year lakhs of Indians go there to spend vacations but now we will see a massive change.
