Even people suffered losses in canceling but stood together to contribute to India. Maldives gets more than 5000 crore business from India from Tourism, but things seem to be changing now. He also inaugurated a Low-Temperature Thermal Desalination (LTTD) plant at Kadmat, which will help in producing 1.5 lakh liters of clean drinking water every day.
