IIM Bangalore has come up with some free courses in various fields which will help in adding value to your profile and make your CV strong and can learn a lot from them. But few questions are coming in mind are like :

Where to Find IIM Banglore Free Courses?
So you will find this in the SWAYAM portal which is an initiative of the Government of India & Ministry of Education. The main of aim of SWAYAM is to take all the best teachings and learnings resources of IITs and IIMs to everyone. In this, National Coordinators are appointed, and IIM Bangalore is one of them.
After opening the SWAYAM portal you can filter Course Coordinator, IIM B has 26 courses. Registering for these courses is absolutely free. Courses are from different-different domains. You can filter IIM B courses, as there are courses from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), Ncert, UGC, etc also.
When to Register?
For some courses registration ended on 28 Feb 2023, but for some courses, the last date is 10 March 2023. I would recommend you to register yourself as soon as possible.
How to Register?
After opening SWAYAM, on the top right you will see the register option. after clicking on it you would see various options to register. Like a Microsoft account, Google account, or Facebook account or you can simply SIGN UP and create a password for yourself. when you will click on a course, on the left side you would see the course outline, videos and transcripts.
How many courses at a Time?
Because these are free courses you can register for all 26 courses if you are doing it just for learning purposes. But if you want a certificate there are certain processes because of which you would be able to only 4 courses. To avail certificate, there are exams at the last of these courses and these exams are conducted in 2 days and 2 slots each day. which means max four exams you can give on those 2 days.
Exam Fee and Format
There are 2 exams you have to give to avail certificate. Mid-term is Free and the Final exam is paid, after clearing that you will get a certificate. it is not compulsory to give the final exam until and unless you want a certificate. When you would choose courses see the exam date of the course if you are going to select 4 courses for the certificate. On 13 May and 14 May exams would be conducted so you can have 2 courses with exam date 13 and 2 courses with exam date 14 because of 2 slots on each day.
For the General category students’ fees is – 1000, For the reserved category students’ fees is – 500. Exams will be conducted in OFFLINE mode for which a total of 95 centers are appointed all over India. You can select 4 cities as your preferences for exams. On-center exams would Computer Based and Written Based(OMR).
Passing marks and process
There is No Negative marking in this exam. For every course passing marks is different but in general, 40% is passing marks for Midterms and Final Terms. If you achieve 90% marks you would be given Golden Badge. Certificate provided would not be in physical form. It will be in Electronic Format.
