Young & Bold cricketer Sarfaraz Khan was born on 22 October 1997. His full name is Sarfaraz Nausad Khan. He grew up in Mumbai but his family is from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. From Azad Maidan to the Indian Dressing room he covered a lot of distance with the full support of his family. He debuted against England in the 3rd Match of the 5 Match Series. From being young and uncapped to play in IPL to scoring the fastest 50 in his debut match, he has shown strong character. Early Life
Sarfaraz Khan grew up in the streets of Mumbai and Azad Maidan. He started his cricket from an early age. Nausad Khan, his father, and his coaches used to train him. IPL star Iqbal Abdulla was also their student. He majorly focused on cricket so his father. The synthetic pitch was made by his father beside his house so that he could practice in the monsoon. When asked, His father said that he synthetic pitch so that he could practice for bouncy and fast wickets.
As he was more into cricket he didn’t attend regular school for 4 years and took private tuitions. Things went his way when he broke Former Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s record of Harris Sheild set in 1988. He scored 439 runs in his very first match in just 421 balls. Continued good performance led him to the Mumbai Ranji Team.

ICC U19 Cricket World Cup and IPL
Sarfaraz Khan played in 2 editions of the Under 19 World Cup. In 2014, he scored 211 runs in 6 matches with an average of 70.33. Soon after that, he got picked for 5millions by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2015. At 17, He became the youngest to participate in the IPL. He shared a dressing room with Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers, and Chris Gayle. In his 4th match he smashed 45 of 21 balls against Rajasthan Royals as a result Virat Kohli bowed down to him while he was walking down to the dressing room.
Sarfaraz has been part of IPL franchises Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals. Till now his IPL performance is average but that’s gonna change any time soon. Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer Khan was part of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2024. Musheer was the second-highest run scorer in the Tournament after Captain Uday Sharan. He scored 360 runs in 7 matches with an average of 60. He was the only one who scored 2 centuries in the Tournament.

Ravindra Jadeja apologized to Sarfaraz Khan on Thursday for mistakenly running him out on the opening day of the third Test against England in Rajkot. Sarfaraz was cruising through his innings, scoring his first half-century in just 48 balls, but his bid to stay in the middle was cut short owing to a mix-up with Jadeja. The incident also resulted in Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s furious response in the dressing room, as the 36-year-old was spotted on video flinging away his cap following the run-out.
