Coldplay has been forced to add  dates for its 2023 Music of the Spheres stadium tour. This is because fans are clamoring to head to the front of a massive online queue to make a purchase.

The band added additional dates in Manchester and Cardiff, and Ticketmaster instructed buyers not to wait in line and refresh the page in order.

Coldplay's new UK tour is scheduled for 31 May 2023 with four dates in Manchester, followed by two nights in Cardiff.

With hundreds of thousands in line, Ticketmaster said, "As expected, Coldplay was super popular this morning. "To make it as fair as possible, put everyone in line. Be patient and don't refresh or you'll lose your seat

Some fans were frustrated that they waited in line from the moment tickets went on sale at 10am, only to eventually get an error message and be pushed back to the back of the line.

They tweeted: ‘I was in the queue at 10am selected my tickets and it just kept saying “something went wrong” for 15 mins no matter which ticket I selected and now I’m back in the queue with nearly 400,000 people ahead of me… I am absolutely gutted.’

Ticketmaster also made sure that resellers were doing everything they could to prevent them from buying up tickets and handing them over to real fans at huge price.
